Hi again RC; the 4 OZ steerhide is the Bates jacket that originated this thread, like I described in the first post. I miss read your question, sorry for the wrong answer. All my Lost Worlds motorcycle jackets are horsehide made, they are great material ( the jackets) for a new thread/s.

It's a 4 OZ steerhide.

They said that's very stiff ( compared to their normal cowhide), which I found to be very soft, For me since I'm used to 4 OZ LW HH, this Bates it's ready to go like you said.

What don't you like about it? Do you like the Lost Worlds J-23 better? I think that bseal meant that the Aero isn't cheaper than the LW. the LW J-23 is..or was $1200..if I remember correctly. Oh, I get it. But, don't you pay a lot more than $50 for NOS Talon zips with Lost Worlds...

Outstanding sweater! I would like to order one but I'll need to know if a size 40 will be a loose fit on a 39 expanded chest ( I prefer a snug fit) I also like to know the sweater back length from bottom of collar to bottom of the hem. Thank you!
