Show us what you have. I have a USGI sweater somewhere but these are two specific to the AAF.

Gotta love that covered zipper. Smooth and quiet. That can brag accuracy all they want but I have yet to see a repro mfg mount these.

I’ve got two repros , an ELC A-1 mechanics sweater and a Pike brothers C-2 vest. Sorry C-2 sweater.

I just watched a nice W&G rendition on the Bay pass me by because it was too large :( :

WPG or another? I wouldn't mind one but can't justify the $200 versions.

I thought he meant Willis & Geiger, but I would like to find a C2 repro as well if someone would point me in the right direction please.

How's the C-2 repro? The only "C-2" vest I have is unmarked with a Talon brass zip so guessing probably Korean Conflict era. The fleece is a rigger made deal. I had another C-1 by Sears that had the holster cut off but can't find it. The C-2 would be quite functional today maybe with a rigger-added pocket.

Nice sweaters! Though not an official piece of flight gear, I was happy to pick up this minty Korean War dated 5-button sweater. Same construction as WW2 production and lovingly used in both wars

Nice. I'd wear one in my size. Especially right now in the Midwest! Does anyone know much about the Red Cross movement during the war where sweaters were knitted presumably by housewives and given to the war cause?

I really like that C-2 sweater! Got my eyes on the Pike Brothers one for a while, just cannot justify the price right now. The high neck sweater also looks nice.

Canadaian and US Red Cross knitting was very similar to the British "Comforts Committee" knitting. Some info here http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=2552

Try getting hold of one of these on ebay for more info

Yes, I meant Willis & Geiger... First time I've seen that particular sweater since receiving W&G saved search results daily for the past few years. Hopefully, another one will come up in my size eventually.. ;)

The original high neck sweaters come up on EBay occasionally . What size do you wear , I'll keep a look out for one

Here's the Item number and they have all sizes. They are US military issued items.
