Stone me. I don't fancy swimming very far in a B-3. That fleece must get bloody heavy when it's saturated with water.

oh I know, they were looking up at the photographer, thinking, many years later, some jacket fanatic would want to know how to break in a B3 and A2! Let's do a forward thinking demonstration to screw with them!

Might be enough air trapped in that wool to keep a body afloat. I'm confident that they are using those jackets because they forgot to bring along the Mae Wests.
