This is a film favorite of mine. Saw it when it originally aired and waited patiently for a proper release on DVD or Blu-ray. Suffered through multiple bootlegs. Finally got it on British DVD/Blu-ray and it's a pleasure to watch.

This is the film that sparked my lifelong interest in flight gear and the war in general.
I think that I was about ten years old when I first saw the film, not knowing that it would have such an influence on my life.
Excellent photographs !, even now after seeing the pictures it makes me want to go and dig out the original jackets and breath in that inimitable smell of been there seen it and done it !.
Great post thanks, anyone who hasnt seen it should try and get hold of a copy (took me a while to find one).
