True. Poughkeepsie's civi label s actually rarely seen, indicating that they didn't sell many military jackets for the civilian market.

Poughkeepsie had two contracts for AN-J4 jackets, the 43-16804-AF contract from 1943 and the 44-5125-AF from 1944. I suspect this jacket dates to 1944 and Poughkeepsie may have had some surplus jackets which did not form part of their 1944 contract, perhaps in anticipation of a third contract. No contract was forthcoming as the USAAF had moved to lined cloth jackets and Poughkeepsie sold their surplus jackets as private purchases.
