Presenting one of my favorite photo of Amelia Earhart.
Here are some other photos I would like to share.
24 yr. old aviator Evelyn Sharp, one of the original Women’s
Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (WAFS) pilots.
Killed in Pennsylvania in crash of twin engine P-38.
Helen Richey ~ First woman to be hired as a pilot by a commercial airline,
also first woman to be sworn in to pilot air mail & first female flight instructor.
Florence Lowe “Pancho” Barnes & her gear. WASP 1943.
WASP (from left) Frances Green, Margaret Kirchner, Ann Waldner and Blanche Osborn leave their B-17, called Pistol Packin’ Mama, during ferry training at Lockbourne Army Air Force base in Ohio.
