Yea it’s an ELC. I think it’s this particular contract as I have another and it’s a bit more trim.Slightly large on ya. However, if you intend to wear it with a sweater (jumper), you will be happy with the extra room. What is it? Elc?
Yep, there's a reason so many of them could still wear the jacket 50 years later, and it isn't that they were the same size that they were at 20 years old.Have to agree with Smithy on this one . I personally think many of us have a tendency to like trim fitting jackets that you can only wear a t-shirt under , when in fact many period photos show flyers wearing long underwear , heavy wool shirts with ties , sweaters , and then coveralls over all that.
Well no wonder the jacket looks trim !
I think your jacket looks ok. Put a sweat shirt on under it or a sweater and watch it trim right out .
Another good point Jan .Yep, there's a reason so many of them could still wear the jacket 50 years later, and it isn't that they were the same size that they were at 20 years old.
I think its a perfect fit, you want a little room so you can move around a little easier, I also like my A2s a little on the roomier side. too tight always reminds me of the Fonz on Happy Days, lol
This is the other Eastman contract I have. Not sure off the top of my head what it is, you can see it’s a lot trimmer yet the same size.Looks great to me. Slightly on the roomier side of the scale, but if you look at all the original photos posted here you'll find that A-2s were worn even baggier/ blousier than yours. So it's ultimately down to how it feels when you wear it. Do you like to layer underneath? Like a sweater or something? Does it feel big and does the leather get in the way? Or does it feel comfortable?
Can you post photos of the other contract you mentioned for the sake of comparison?
