It wasn't a bad price for what they are. While it's true that many privately purchased shoes were worn by AAF personnel, most are of a plain-toe blucher design as opposed to the cap-toe balmoral construction of the Robertsons. That said, the color is very nice and they're probably superior to most if not all repros currently available. If I didn't already have these unissued '45-dated originals I would likely have bid:
