Thank you-I think first and foremost that I have always liked leather as a material and its finest manifestation is surely in the form of a leather jacket.I love the styles of the Thirties and have amassed a few,though not vintage as sizing is too hit and miss-probably too many!My Father was a Fleet Air Arm pilot based in Scotland during WW2 so I was brought up listening to terrifying tales of near misses and ditchings-I only ever saw fragments of his Irvin as it was cut up to make a rug for their first car.I used to wear his Mae West though and have been fascinated by her ever since.
