why cant I post attachments?

My user 'abilities' bit at the bottom right of the screen shows that I can post, edit posts etc but that i cannotcannot post attachments to the forum (or delete my posts).
can this be changed so I can post pics?

I think that's the standard setting for all of us, Tim .... we can edit away to nothing, but not actually delete.

And no attachments, but you can happily whack pictures into the body of your posts.
