White Oak's Selvedge Looms Find New Home in Louisiana

The Cone Mills White Oak saga continues as newcomer Vidalia Mills announces their purchase of selvedge Draper looms for their Louisiana facility.

After all the tales on my deployments I read Louisiana and thought 'this has to be good'. Assumption was cousins or booze.

Good news for the town with the mill at least.

I went to the White Oak mill in 2013 as I sold them some equipment at the time, and became friends with one of their production managers.
When they closed, that friend tried to buy the looms to create a small cottage industry making the same denim. Cone Mills refused.

I am glad these are at least able to be used now, even if they are no longer in North Carolina.
