Good Wear IS listed on the "Reproductions" page - they were added several months ago.
Could be he stopped writing because he anticipated further fallings out with repro makers.
Take a look thru the 1999-2000 Deja.com group - which Marc started - you see a fair number of classic internet peener-waving contests (generally not due to Marc, who mostly tried to keep peace). Most were maker vs maker, but quite a few were maker vs customer.
In fact, online anonymity blurs the distinction for some folks. In any online discussion of goods or products, someone will always accuse someone else of being a shill or a mouthpiece for commercial interests. It is as inevitable as the phases of the moon.
The question is whether it gets out of control and drives people away from the discussion. Marc decided it had and closed it down.
