Where did they go?

Forgive the novice question..where did the specific Army Air Corps unit patch go...right shoulder or left?
I thought it went on the left shoulder...but I just came across this by an A2 jacket manufacturer;

"The emblem of the Army Air Forces was often sewn, painted, or applied by decal on the left shoulder, while the shield of the specific Air Force (5th, 8th, etc.) was often displayed on the right. "

Gone, but not forgotten.

What they said ... the decal was always on the left shoulder, so anything else would have to be right.

Most A-2 jackets had only the "decal" on them, an it was always on the "wearers" left shoulder/sleeve , I have rarely ever seen a "cloth" type on a leather jacket , they usually are seen on the dress/pinks/greens .
