Paul, how'd you manage that feat? I want your strategy! Five GWs in about a month's time would mean marriage counseling in my household!!!

Uh well I was going to buy a new 911, so I kinda told her that I would cool my jets on the car until we could get a deal. So she was quite happy that I got a couple jackets
instead of a new 911. Plus I asked her what other kind of thing that you can buy in a hobby that might actually go up in worth? She understood that.
She has more shoes than me, but all the new sketchers not much money, she is WAY too frugal for that!!!!

Got any pictures of this one? Some of the older hides (unlike mine) were pretty nice.

I DO have some pictures, but unfortunately the lighting was horrible and I don't think it represents the color well.
Mine was from 2010ish. Definitely newer.
But it was a solid hide. The color was nice too...a rosy medium-brown color, not too tan. I had some compliments from the buyer. It smelled good too.

The Menlo Cossack is actually made by Levi's?
How much you paid for it?

It's part of the LVC line...

I've seen em go for as low as $350 on eBay (wasn't my size or I'da bought it)... General used market is about $500-700. New they're about $1K. Tho if I'm not mistaken they don't offer the steerhide anymore, just capeskin. I've been shopping for one myself:p

The steer is an interesting hide: it seems a similar weight to a medium horse, yet more supple. Some areas look very much like horse, some graining almost resembles a heavier goat.
