Positive temps (4 or 5 Celsius) here so took advantage with an A-2 (the one on the previous page), a C-2 knockoff sweater, A-10 gloves from MASH and a pair of roughouts.

Nice to not have to be wearing a Canada Goose in -20something effective.

Very cool! Did the zipper tape fade from a darker color or is that close to original state? Fivestar has been using that color in their repro jackets and recently mentioned they have also added dark brown tape option.

Yes, the zipper tape did fade. Here is a pic when it was new in 2010.

That jacket is The DOG'S BOLLOCKS. Shit, Howdy, and I don't mean maybe.
On my computer, the current colo(u)r appears as a russet. In the original photo, it looks a bit seal-ish.
Which one was it?
I just ordered the A-1 from whatpriceglory, and will report.

FWIW, I've found John's jackets are a lot easier to swing than they look on paper: $200 deposit, and then you have 1-2 years to pull together the rest.
