Started a project to combine my interest in WWII and my job. Learned a lot already this first attempt. Would make some layout changes if I were to do it again BUT I think the fact that it is not perfect adds a degree of authenticity. Breast patch and name rocker on order.

Baby, it's cold outside.... so for a change an odd sheepkin jacket I came across many years ago. Looks like it was made from scraps of old Irvin but very professionally made with leather over seams like an Irvin, B3 type cuffs, collar strap much like a B3 but just a single strap, has 2 cargo type patch pockets and a DOT zip but missing slider. An odd thing but i rather like that.

yes indeed, Mikey, I meant to write that it didn't look like Irvin material , didn't read back what i had written, old age...... It does look and feel exactly like the hide of a pair of AAF trousers I have. Possibly someone had had it made to be used as a mbike jacket, which I would have done if it had zipped up, having others I never bothered to find a slider for it.

Looking more closely, I think the pockets have come off a pair of A-3 trousers. I wonder if it originally had a zip from the trousers too, and the Irvin zip is a replacement.
