Took the GW m422 for a short low level flight with 1200 foot cloud base. The Harvard is 3 years older (and sadly not mine, the owner also has a Hurricane), but might be more appropriate for the jacket. Maybe that should be a thing, buy an aircraft to go with a jacket (if you are a millionaire

Short trip to the Christmas market at Schönbrunn Castle and the Gloriette... My significant other wanted me to look, uhm "somewhat casually royal"... So this is the best I managed to fulfill that request
(For the record, jacket is my other ELC Irvin, the BoB model 1940 pattern)
And that was the view across the the castle park toward the Gloriette, a much much more royal and imperial view altogether

Well …. It’s with a little sadness that I’m posting the last photo of this mint original Willis and Geiger M-422a size 46. It’s been with me for a few years, but it’s time to pass it on to the next person in line, to maintain as the special WWII artifact that it is . It’s been sold and is going to a good home . As many of us know when it comes to original jackets, we are just caretakers of them until the time comes to move them on to the next individual , who will hopefully maintain them and their history. It was nice owning this original and in some small way knowing just a little of the history of the US Naval Aviator who wore it .
