It's too bloody wet here!

We had half a metre of snow and then the temperature shot up from -5 to +5 in the space of a day and turned the entire town into a giant slushie. And to add insult to injury it's been pissing down all day. I should have worn a bloody wetsuit.

It's the 498th bomb squadron, 345th bomb group, stationed initially in Australia before moving on to New Guinea, if I recall. I wish I could find someone who does repros of those Aussie style patches, as they're nothing like the painted leather patches that you normally see reproduced.

I once had a custom embroidered patch made up for a special work project, always wondered if they might take on squadron repros. And yeah, they did chenille (like yours*) as well.

I'll see if I can dig up the name of the company, but it was a long time ago.

*Looking closer, yours looks to be straight embroidered, not chenille.

He’s turned out some nice jackets . I’ve said it before he does nice work , I’m only jealous that he stops at a size 46 . He used to make 48s and I wonder what caused him to discontinue doing that .

A relatively new member has made them in the past.... lots of his older patches in the art/patches thread....
