We still make evasion charts, LC. Nowadays they are made out of a Tyvek derivative (US). UK uses a different substrata. US scale is usually 1:250K, two sided, and includes survival information applicable to the area of coverage (edible/poisonous plants, water sources, signalling, first aid, etc). Just retired from the US version of MI-9 last year. Fascinating work. You would be amazed at how much the basics of E and E and related missions are relatively unchanged from WW2!

A beautiful +3 today in the sun so I went with my modified G1 by branded by orchard
I had the hand pockets sewn shut As the leather was starting to show damage from them
I personally never used them so I won’t miss them. It also made the jacket look a feel trimmer
