Thomas here on the forum just picked up a beautiful Monarch G-1 in a size 46 from Chandler. What a gorgeous jacket. I missed the boat on that one

It was one of those chance opportunities Burt. I wasn't planning on selling it until someone asked.

It had become a closet queen for me, so when Thomas asked, I couldn't pass it up!

I hope it gets some more wear through Southwest Germany!

Nice looking jacket, after looking at your jacket from Shawn, I realised that the pockets on my Japanese made horsehide A2 are not out of position at all,

Is it the angle of the photo or does the right pocket flap have a little more of a scalloped look to it than the left pocket flap?

Never noticed that Burt but your totally correct, the right, the scalloping is more high

Right pocket flap is also more pointed

One could argue, see slight difference between the two. I'm happy as is and as mentioned, period correct.

Yeah looks that way but it’s not really a problem as original war time production jackets had pocket flaps that weren’t always exact matches . Many had little wonky and mismatched features This actually makes the jacket look a little like the originals did .

Looks good to me Burt, I told you about my original Perry, right pocket flap was sewn nearly two inches overlap towards the right side, gives it character, agreed, perfection isn't always a sign of origina l

Incidentally Burt, long fiesta here till Tuesday, just come back from the supermarket, Czech beer run, just wore a t-shirt and jeans, apart from early morning late at night, jackets are out here

But yes, to each his own, but this jacket came out better than I expected.
Love the Dubow style, feels really nice wearing it, and that goatskin is pretty tough stuff.

Wife says "smells like an old goat", not sure if she means the jacket. Gotta ask first, update later.
