Well at least it has a tag! Size 52 A-2?

So is that the real thing? I was just looking at it.
He says it's a size 52 that measures as a size 54.
I thought war era A-2s were actually smaller size
in today's sizes?

"Reserve is reasonable at under 3K". Ouch.

Fortunately, that's too big for me.

i could spit as a collector when I hear the word mint banded about.
Mint comes from coin collecting ie as minted, no tarnish no wear no use NEW.
f****ing mint my backside.
what is wrong with excellent used?
[listens to whale song and draws deeply on begamot and parsley infusion thinking only happy thoughts]

As a coin collector your definition of Mint is spot on. This is a nice jacket which has had little wear. Probably worn by a large guy who flew a desk! The lack of good close-up shots is interesting.

Look at the stitching, was that tag added recently?

Aero labels do seem to be fairly roughly sewn in, so the AAH example does look typical.

David, You are correct about the label. I am sure it's original to the jacket and of course there was bound to be variation in the hand stitching of original labels.
