Hey Good Morning Dave!
Might just be the wrong season right now. Maybe once there's a chill in the air, sales will start to pick up.
Here's hoping that Aero takes flight for you.:)

True. A lot of folk are trying to sell ols, smooth hided ELC for the same price as a far more desirable recenttly made grainy hided version.

I bought one A-2 at a good price. Sold a D-1 at a good price and sold an L-2A pretty cheaply. The others with my preferred prices didn't score a single bid. Still undecided on where the market is at.

We are all pleased and happy to buy ( BR, RMZ etc ) for excellent good (low) prices from buyee.jp, Rakuten, yahoo.jp...and are surprised when nobody wants to pay good “premium” for our sales ( like John said “higher then factory prices when originally sold”).
Dave said it as well, “want to buy new but pay for second hand, sell second hand but for new price”...it did never work out..
Plus... the market is saturated...also by the low cost start-ups... so often praised...
No wonder the “good old school” stuff if not exceptional, dont move arround fast.
Someone should make a price list spread sheet:
What are second hand jackets worth..per year, per maker, per extras ( patches/ artwork etc)...like for cars and bikes, watches etc... based on sales statistcs on the net.... would be interesting , maybe sobering...but giving hints whats realistic or not.

My prices were still great. When I use the AUD on eBay.com.au for the fee free listings I don't even get watchers. My feedback shits on most sellers in the low 2000s. When it lists in USD I get the watchers and the bids. And then the lowball offers along the way of course.

Just my opinion but I have been at this game for 25 years or so.
As new premium maker jackets unworn in mint condition 800 gbp
Used 2 to 3 years old 450 gbp
Old special jackets e.g. really old Eastman merino sheepskins 650 gbp

Super, thx, I still have an unworn 46” ELC Merino pre-war IRVIN...unworn...and not the todays funny cracky ( cooked desert style) coated surface...almost impossible to tell from a WW2 one...nice russet hide and honey fleece...So I know what I can ask here...Testing the waters for a possible sale in Sept.
Thx.

Thx. for all PM’s and others. Will decide in September and list.
“Lets elevate a bit the average sales price rate and the speed of sale.”;););)...hence prove the week resale market theory a “fake news”!

Doesn't your reluctance to list reinforce the fact the current market is not strong?
Not at all...just need time to check what asking ( firmly ) for and whether I really want to sell...If I want to sell, now...easy...got 3 offers already in range with JL‘s estimation...But yes market is not strong ( or very strong for low low)...for average items. Apparently its not really an average item...apparently.
