Anyone know where i can find a good budget A-11? My brick on my wrist is uncomfortable with my A-2 on and ruins the cuff.

Cheap as chips...

Search for something like an Aeromatic A1337 like this https://longislandwatch.com/aeromatic-a1337-watch-a1337/

or

If you want something vintage but can't stretch to an original A-11 hack try searching for a WW2 Ordnance Dept watch as these can still be picked up at a reasonable price if you have patience. They are the same size more or less as an A-11 but have differences in the movement and face.

So I just picked this one up . It’s an older Omega that I think may be from the late 1940s to early 1950s era. But honestly I don’t know much about watches so if anyone can nail this down a little better please post what you think it is . Thanks :) Edit : I did open the case and it looks to be entirely omega stamped parts .

It is not a Kriegsmarine watch either :D.

On a more serious note, I don't know much about it either... but I like to play guessing games.
I would say 40's, the luminous hands, if they are original would suggest a military use... but the total absence of marking on the case would suggest a non-military use. :)

I found this Cyma dated 1942 which has a very similar dial :

What is interesting is that this Cyma is described as a "6B/159" type watch.
As far as I know the "6B/159" watches were issued to RAF navigators and pilots during the Second World War.
This seems too good to be true.... but ?
If it was really a military watch, it seems to me that it should have an inscription of this type on the back of the case :

Again I'm not a specialist and I'm just guessing.
Maybe @Pilot or @Enigma1938 or someone else could tell you more ?

What's the serial number on the Omega movement ?
I don’t know as I just put it back together. I couldn’t get the case to seat properly, so I had to take it to a watch repair. So I’m not ready to try to open it up again . I guess that’s of no help . Sorry

No worries at all, its a 1000% legit Omega from the end of 40’s early 50’s.This is a civilian version Cal. 283 of a legit US ARMY version from the same period of time.
A great craftsmanship Omega watch.
Congrats!
