USN M-421A Jacket

I don’t know who the maker of mine represents, but it came off Ebay and not an established repro vendor site.

I really like the length of that original…it looks much more like a flight jacket. I may need to get someone to move up the pockets and shorten mine.

Post some photos wearing it … we’ll be happy to give you an opinion on the fit .

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear. The jacket pictured above is my jacket. I see that the impression is that it is from ATF.

It may have come from them, but I got mine through Ebay and not ATF’s website. I just wanted to clear up any confusion about its origin.

A few quick shots in the cloudy evening light.
The jacket is still a little crumbled from shipping.
I am happy with my purchase.
Fivestar did a great job. The cut is pretty accurate and not too long like other copies out there, the "belt" in the back is at the correct position and all the little details of this particular jacket model are present, like the bi-swing back or the pencil slot in the left pocket or the G1 style inner pocket, even the USN stencil is there....
The cloth is soft and of good quality, im sure it will age and fade nicely after a couple of months wearing it.
Fivestar had the original maker label produced for me and they did it beautifully.

Only contra I can find is the stitch length of their seams. Fivestar always tends to do them too big / long (sure the jacket needs lesser time in production) it's a little details a purist like me will notice. But hey - I can happily live with that.

I washed the jacket twice to get rid of the newish look and it turned out superb, will post pics later! It looks almost like an original now. If I stumble over an original Talon zipper slider one day I'll change it.
