The label is a no name contract based on the known surviving jackets' labels. It is similar to the black and yellow M422 labels only smaller and with a earlier contract number. Is that what you meant by which manufacturer?

Appreciate that. BTW, which reproduction manufacturing company are you working with to bring this venture to life? Congrats on the progress.

Put me down as very interested, too…especially if you can source some lightweight sheep.

Hey guys, just about ready for production on the 37J1 jacket. Now just waiting on the labels which I expect to have today. We should be fully up and running by the end of next week!

Here's a list of the standard sizes and measurements:

Just a quick observation.
Your size 46 seems a little narrow in the chest . A normal military 46 gave you at least at 24 or 24 1/2 inch chest.
Your jacket only gives a true size 46 inch chest one inch of movement room.

38- Chest 20" - Arms 25" - Shoulders 18" - Length 25"

40- Chest 21" - Arms 25 1/2" - Shoulders 18 1/2" - Length 25 1/2"

42- Chest 22" - Arms 25 1/2" - Shoulders 19 1/2" - Length 25 1/2"

Maybe he working with an Asian maker? They reeeeally do not like having to make larger sizes.

Asian! How dare you... Just kidding. No not an Asian manufacturer. I have full control over the sizes and can tailor to any size you specify. I have been back and forth with many size configurations but landed upon a military fit A2 size type with some modifications. Do the sizes seem too small? I have had original A2s with less generous measurements. I have a Bill Kelso Werber 42 at Chest 21" Shoulders 18" Arms 25". My 42 is Chest 22" Shoulders 19 1/2" Arms 25 1/2"

36- Chest 19" - Arms 24 1/2" - Shoulders 17 1/2" - Length 24 1/2"

38- Chest 20" - Arms 25" - Shoulders 18" - Length 25"

40- Chest 21" - Arms 25 1/2" - Shoulders 18 1/2" - Length 25 1/2"

42- Chest 22" - Arms 25 1/2" - Shoulders 19 1/2" - Length 25 1/2"

44- Chest 23" - Arms 26" - Shoulders 20" - Length 26"

46- Chest 24" - Arms 26 1/2" - Shoulders 20 1/2" - Length 26 1/2"

48- Chest 25" - Arms 26 1/2" - Shoulders 21" - Length 27"

The labels are finally in and they tuned out beautifully!

I have the brown snaps now and two choices of horn buttons, dark or light brown. Both styles were used on flight jackets in the 1930's:

I am having the final test jacket built with the new materials and should have photos soon when it's complete. I am having a Pre Production Sale for $325 until 5/15. The price will go up after that but still will be at a significant discount here on the forum compared to the off forum price.

I'll be the 1st one to say that is really quite nice and the cost is within everyone's budget. Congrats!

Let's nominate Dr. H to be the at the front of the line to test model one (with a full & unaltered smiling headshot).
