Trying to find out information about motorcycle leather jacket

I inherited this jacket. It is very heavy and has a quilted interior. Part of the label is still intact but I don't recognize the horse or steer symbol that is on the label. I believe it says 57 and SF right below that on the right hand side and Made on the left, presumably made in San Francisco? Was there a Peters mfg there or something? Anyway, any help would be appreciated. The main zipper is Scoville (but it looks like a replacement since its brass colored and the permanent part of the zipper is silver in color. The other zippers say Talon. One of the buttons says Stimpson so it might not be original either. It is a well worn jacket with repairs, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
