Spiewak G-1. Anyone have any info about these jackets?

Spiewak G-1. Anyone know anything about these jackets, when they were manufactured, etc. I've come up with little via Google. I bought one last spring on eBay; a heavy, well-grained leather in a dark, dark seal brown and in superb condition. The label is somewhat worn, though all the data is still visible. I just can't find anything about this jacket, just some general sutt about Isaac Spiewak and sons who started making jackets prior to WW I and apparently did a fair amount of contract work in WW II. Nothing specific, however, about their G-1s. Any info would be much appreciated.

The only one I've seen is a loose repro, with a made-up contract number, on a printed (not loomed) label. IIRC, they did these, as well as an A-2, for export only.
