Ok, this is my last ditch attempt !, again I do not know its age but this jacket is trying hard to look vintage.
I have suddenly realised that most of my jackets look very similar, this one also has a removeable fleece collar but I like it with or without, note the Big Star stencil on the back of the collar.
Again the leather is to my liking even if the patina might be somewhat accelerated.

Most of my civvy jackets are relatively modern, but I managed to scrape up a few which qualify as vintage.
First, my Golden Bear Letterman jacket. Doesn’t get the wear it deserves really, it’s a bit big. I like the plain cuffs and collar. Nearly took the patch off and replaced it with something more aviation related. Not sure of age.

Next, my venerable Schott Perfecto 615, side laces instead of belt. Not terribly old, 80’s I imagine, but nicely battered. Again, seldom worn these days, but I love it. £40 from Ebay, which is pretty good for one of these.

A few hand-stitched repairs by me.

Next, my US-made, probably 70’s Lee Stormrider. Very well battered. Black cat’s eye side buttons.

Finally, one of the nicest jackets I own. Maenson Crombie overcoat, bought in a charity shop for £25 a good 30 years ago. Still immaculate, and still gets worn, for funerals mainly, and Winter Lodge meetings.

Don't come here very often these days for the very reason started by this thread but ‘the bug’ brings me back from time to time so heres my effort!
1. My favourite non military leather jacket formerly owned by Roughwear and one other here who name eludes me. Believed to be late 40’s/early 50’s, a half belt by G&F who we mostly know for G1’s - my dilemma has always been whether to Pecards it or not?
2. My 80’s Golden Bear varsity repro of 30’s version, great for the cold!

For me, before there was leather there was waxed. I absolutely agree with Cabbie ... though I don't have a Barbour Bedale (yet). And I still have and wear my first waxed jacket bought for £25 in about 1985. It's branded "Leisure Wear" and the zip has always been ready to unzip from the bottom to let in a cooling draft whilst sitting in a hide or marching about in the countryside. It's worn in places, has been sewn roughly when I've gone through a hedge backwards / sideways etc when out beating or shooting but it is still going strong. It earned a retirement a few years ago when I treated myself to a Barbour Northumbria. Two sizeable pockets for cartridges, partridges and anything else and a decent poachers pocket inside. Though I've never been poaching, you understand, that pocket seems fit for purpose. Leather jackets may be a fad for me. Waxed jackets won't.

Never mind Kens competition I agree 110% with Cabbie. This'll do wherever you are.

I didn’t include my Balfours (sorry, Barbours ;)). I have two, one for each car boot, a Border for which I paid £25, unworn, one of my best charity shop bargains, and a Beaufort, well worn, which cost me a fiver. Great for poking around in woods and amongst brambles and other stuff which might snag a more delicate jacket. My wife hates them, doesn’t like the smell of the wax.

burt, the aero was originally a seal brown, and I gave it a thinned wash of black dye. I also set the rivets at the bottom front, and installed an original m-41 talon zipper puller.
