I finished the below 550th NFS patch a week or so ago and thought it might be interesting to post a few examples of what were comparatively rare units in WWII.

So first up is the afore mentioned 550th NFS, Aussi style thick thread embroidery on felt.

Next up another Aussi style embroidered example, 421st NFS. The original was machine made with the Japanese victory flags added by hand at a later date.

The final example is another 5th AAF unit, 419th NFS.
