There’s a lot of possibilities in this thread so please post any of these you might have . Starting off with an ELC 352nd Fighter Group A2, This is a Monarch contract with parachute riggers interior cargo pockets, installed for added carrying space for maps, survival equipment , or whatever the pilot wanted to carry . I don’t think this was an exclusive addition only to the 352nd Fighter Group or to Monarch A2’s, but they were noted for having this feature added to their A2 jackets .

Nice looking RW Jan.
I’ve decided to quit photographing jackets indoors anymore , they always look better in the natural outdoor light . Don’t they?
I agree that the original intent of this series was to highlight vintage jackets but I think a lot of people felt left out if they didn’t have a vintage jacket. So to try and include more people and a greater response , this might work out better.

Regarding the light, I think it depends. Intense sunlight outdoors can be a bit much. Meanwhile, some natural light indoors close to windows can be pretty good. But yeah, natural light is definitely best.

Great idea and a thread I can now contribute to (the others have been great, but sadly I don’t yet own any WW2 vintage original leathers).

Here’s an Eastman B-3 with russet facings. I bagged this last year on EBay for £500 and it was basically unworn; I understand these are referred to as ‘house jackets’ as it doesn’t have a contract maker on the label. It’s one of my favourite jackets and fits a treat, sadly it’s just never cold enough to wear. (In keeping with the remit of the thread title as well, the neckerchief is a lovely USAF 50s jet design Buzz Rickson item).
