Can you anyone point me to a guide that shows how to transfer a patch design to dark leather before paint is applied?

I have tried tracing paper -- but the trace doesn't show up against dark leather (like seal brown goatskin).

Use Saral Transfer Paper, it comes in white. At art stores.

And you could also use a white pencil instead of the normal carbon ones, or white chalk
