Mike Handford from Aviator caps said at least one of his caps is in this shoot, as is one actor who had just wrapped on, "Masters of the Air".

Don't understand why everything looks like it was rubbed in dirty motor oil. They actually had something going but inauthentic ageing ruined it IMO. Also all the laughing and gladhanding and general grabassery seems a bit weird. Swing and a miss!

Also, I took a friend to see Memphis Belle, when it came out, he was a 91BG tail gunner. He started laughing, and exclaimed, "They're too clean!"
Maybe for ground crew. Most WW2 photos I look at don't seem to show the same amount of grime. This is just the BFA talking here but they made the "Fury" mistake- everything looks way too dirty, oily and old. Overaged. Odd.
