Rough Wear D1 on eBay.

I noticed what is said to be and certainly looks like a WW2 D1 on eBay UK. It's got some weird turning fittings for closing it that look as if they came off a heavy canvas waggon cover of some sort.

Right, I'd momentarily forgotten what they were called. Whoever was using it was probably in haulage or worked on the railways. It can't have been all that comfortable.
