Proper A-2 Waist Fit Question

For an authentic A-2, how should the waist fit? Should it fit snug, really hugging the waist where the knit is noticeably stretched when the jacket it zippered. Or, did the authentic fir have a more relaxed fit around the waist, just slightly hugging it with the knit not stretching much at all?

Yes. Either is seen in period photos of active duty airmen, along with the "stretched out" waistband that's lost its elasticity and simply hangs or even curls up at the zipper panels.
