Gone, but not forgotten.
The G-1 MIL-J-7823B series of jackets were also made in relatively small numbers, around 1960-1962. The jackets are known for being the first series to have white thread used on the labels, rather than the earlier gold thread. Note that the jackets were now being distributed by the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons, rather than the Bureau of Aeronautics. The linings appear to be of a thicker material.
