damn nice.hmmmmmm..... hard to tell is it was redyed or not, as the stitching looks to be sun bleached, which is rarely if ever the case with redyes....since the recoloring goes over the stitching as well as the hides. ya just inspired me to wear my original monarch when go to my local tonight.

That’s a beauty. Do you still have it or is it one of those “ What the hell was I thinking when I sold that one? “ regrets?;)

funny ya mention it, Burt, many years ago I sold it to a.s., and suffered serious sellers remorse. few years later, he sold it back to me at cost. say what ya will about a.s., but I thought he was a prince amongst men for selling it back to me. and, yes, I still have it......I may even wear it tonight to my local, [Bela Lugosi collar and and all] as mentioned above.

Burt's Rule #6: You can't take it with you - or something like that. ;)
My Uncle did part time work in a funeral parlor years ago, They had an elderly woman whos husband passed away and were ready to tgake his remains out and bring him to the grave yard. The funeral director sat with her and gave her a few minutes alone before they put him in the hearse, she told him the only thing the husband ever wanted was to be buried with their wedding picture that hang in their house for years. But she told the director that the big gold frame was so nice that maybe she would just take the photo out and leave the picture with him in the coffin for eternity. No problem said the director its up to you. she started taking the back of the big gold frame apart to get the photo out and couldnt believe what was stuffed in it...my uncle said they stop counting after 10,000 dollars in big bills......sometimes you almost can take it with you,lol
