Gentlemen
Since most of us are under quarantine, I guess jackets will help to distract for a bit....

This time we have an original FLITE WEAR from Apollo Era made by LAND MFG. CO.

This jacket is in MINT condition, which is amazing considering it’s over 50 years old.
The construction is similar to a L-2B model,
outer shell is made of blue fabric, and interior is orange silk-lined. (No interior pockets)

Both zippers working and looking perfectly.

The two-ply black knit rib cuffs, waistband and collar are wool.

Left chest bears a pristine NASA meatball patch. (2.5”)

Right chest has velcro for name tag. (4x2”)

It’s interesting to imagine the adventures this jacket has lived in the past!

Say no more... enjoy the pics and stay safe!

Thank you guys! Unfortunately the person who sold me the jacket couldn’t remember the name of the original owner... only told me it was an elderly couple that left it in the basement when they were moving to another house a few years ago, not many clues after all...

That could actually have been used for the Saturn V launch in July 1969. Thta is crazy stuff. You should do more research on the original owner. It is worth it.
Yes, I’ll try harder this time, maybe I’ll have some news by next week since everyone is on isolation time!
