ORIGINAL BRONCO A-2 - 44 - AERO COLLECTION 2013

Gents,

Bought this via the forum pretty much six years ago. Possibly the fifth or sixth time it has been out of the bag in all those years. Purchased from Ken at Aero from their collection.

I was given a remit when I purchased this (at a discounted price) and I am NEVER allowed to sell it. It is the only way I can abide by the sales agreement. Hayden can sell it when he is 40. That should ensure it is met 100%.

Not a wardrobe queen, this one has seen service. Would love to know what squadron patch and name adorned the left chest panel.

Soft as a 'babys bum' and more forgiving than my BK Werber. Some knit nips but aside from that it is a beaut. I appreciate the ELC Monarch's 'drab' finish now.

That is one stunning jacket! Wear it in good health my friend!
It's also a good thing when an original finds its way to somebody whom one knows will appreciate it as the historical artefact that it is and look after it well.

Never saw an original in goat. ( not saying it did not exist...just never saw one in goat). Read somewhere that during WW2 goat was reserved for the Navy.
AAF had to deal with horse and steer...hence the B-10 and B-15 after 1943.

The first one in particular is in very good condition and not far from looking like it did when it was new.

But what such a new looking example points up is how originals made in pigmented hide when new looked nothing like the veg tanned aniline and semi aniline hide jackets sold by most high end makers as authentic now.
