Concerning the "luftwaffe" sheepskin jacket... I don't see what allows the seller to claim that it is a jacket that belonged to a luftwaffe pilot.
Personally I don't believe it (even with the "private purchase" argument).

I dunno about the AN-J-4. It’s been patched in several places, and I’d be very wary of forking out that sort of money for a USN sheepskin. As for the ’Luftwaffe’ effort-well, the less said about the better.

I think over the course of the last ten years , I’ve seen more “original Luftwaffe flight jackets “ on EBay than there were aircrew in all services, allied and axis powers in WWII .
There’s an old collectors saying “ Buy the item …not the story “
