Great find in that size/condition
Very rounded pocket corners for that contract (42-15142-P, Andrew is correct)
I can see some restitching of the pockets, I can't see any alteration to the corners?

That really is beautiful, as Dave asked, is it a redye? Love the reddish tones (on my monitor as least) coming through on the high areas of wear.

I wondered if it had be re-dyed or re-finished too
The colour and finish is unlike any Aero I've seen in the past, and I've handled a lot!!!!

If it's been a re-dye could the pockets be replacement donor pockets from another A-2 dyed to match the rest, hence the new stitching, the shape and the lack of any sign of the usual missed bits under the pockets? Dyed without pockets, pockets added after dying?
I wonder how well the studs align?

Hell, this would have fit me...must have belonged to a desk pilot or typewriter gunner during the big one!
