hmmmm....I could be wrong, but it looks like there was once a name tag stitched under and to the right of the left pocket on the "unknown maker" a-2. I have seen name tags stitched aligned with, and right above left pockets of a-2s, but never below a pocket. thanx for taking the time to post these pix, as it is always a joy to see originals displayed.

Maybe it was on the lining?
