Just one more question .
I researched the date of production on this “C model “ and it’s 1957 or 1958.
When would a 1st model have been made?

The move to sage began in 52 but didn’t hit main stream until 53....Great Lakes were the only ones to make this intial version of the jacket, and it was on a limited basis due to the sheer void of their existence in the collecting marketplace. My best estimate would be 1953....

Hello Mackie, It's Benoit : again congrats for this amazing jacket, a very precious one. Have these photos from the same jacket. Of course it's an Ewards test pilot jacket. Came from Jet Pilot Overseas site: but I don't think it' s his:

It seems to me as if the inner lining of both Great Lakes jackets is (still) made of the cloth type also used for the L2 and the B15C; a matte olive as I would describe it.
Whereas the Skyline has the familiar shiny type of inner lining.

Indeed it looks like the same lining as the L-2
