It seems to be in superb condition and if it were a size smaller I would consider bidding myself. These jackets rarely surface on Ebay, so it wont be cheap.

do the sleeves seem short to you? I have made an offer to drive up and buty it on the spot if it fits. no rpely as yet but I only offered a short while ago. My last one like this had had the sleeves custom shortened so for my gargantuan frame it wa no good. Ties ended up with it. I loved it but nada on the fit. If this would fit I would grab it, i have made a reasonable provisional offer.

Maybe it will be okay.

There's an error somewhere in the sleeve measurements. If the shoulder to cuff was correct at 60 cm, the under arm would be too long.

that is what I thought. Mind you those contracts have a big armhole, that said, that would shorten the underarm measurement wouldnt it?

Yes, it would .....

And the difference between those measurements is only about half what it should be.

Rather a limited shipping range.

True, I find that a problem with many US ebayers. flat refusal to ship outside their own country. strange to see a UK seller shipping only inland though. should keep the price down though.
Personally, once paid, I ship wherever it needs to go.

I have a ELC "Aero" just like the one on ebay, only mine is size 42. The measurement from the top of the shoulder seam straight down to the outer edge of the knit cuff is about 63 cm laid out flap and smoothed out.

The ELC "Aero" 18775-P is a great A-2.....it is in my top two favorites that I own. They are not many of them around so this one might be definitely worth snapping up.

I'm giving it a go.. :)
do I have any competition here? Just so I know.. alls fair etc.

You have the home team advantage, so about $4.50 each should cover it.

I'll PM the link for the PayPal bulk uploader software ......

Please correct me if I'm wrong but don't all the older ELC A-2's lack grain or character ? These are from the days when Gary thought that selling expensive jackets meant that they had to be flawless rather than relfecting what a real original looked like. Something I suspect that a number of members here helped to correct !

this one does not look at all grainy. I am hoping it will fit ok, (I am hoping that I win it).
The last one I had identical with the horrid custom shortened sleeves was of a particularly tough horsehide. i am not a fan of aging jackets by hot water treatments but if this one is too stubborn, assuming I get it, I may break its resolve with some water, works for boots.

i have confirmed with the seller that the arm is 61 cm eppaulette to end of cuff. this makes it one cm shorter than my Monarch which is at the limits.
I do recall however that the last one I had was fuller in the shoulder than most so maybe that adds length.
If it ends up in my posession and it does not fit I will ship it worldwide for cost plus most of the postage

Here are some pics.. it arrived today and I have to say that the fit is way better than I had anticiapted. the arm is indeed 61cm but it fits where I want it to with no tunneling. It has eppaulettes 7.5 inches long though so i guess some of that is made up un the shoulder width.
It is, as suggested, very smooth hide and the stitching is all 'laser straight' I like that it is quality like that. I dont expect it to look .50cal anytime soon I have to say but that is not an issue. They dont all have to be grainy however much I like that.
The knits are proper red and I have to say are my first exposure to the thin knits often bemoaned on here, no biggie, I will just remove it without pulling them. Like the last one I had, it seems wide in the body from the shoulders down but then the original Aero I had was the same. It makes for a comfortable fit. Unlike the last one I had I am not tantalising all the girls by exposing too much sexy wrist..... This one is likely to stay put.

Tim, It looks far better in your pics than on Ebay. It appears to have an original Talon zip too. I think you got a very good deal there as it went for less than I would have thought. Any chance of a pic of you wearing it?

no one about to take one I am afraid for a few weeks...may mess about with the timer on the camera. may also do comparison shots with my 44 monarch. if there is any interest......
