It looks like Shawn has some new hide in distressed russet. I think it looks like a new jacket will be coming to me soon haha.

What’s your opinion of it? The more I look at, the more undecided I am about it. Does it look close to the ELC stuff?

Well it's pretty hard to judge these things comparing a swatch to a complete jacket (especially when it's a just pictures of the two taken in different settings). Looks like it could be good. I worry a bit that the variegated color might be a bit extreme, but it also might be great. My best advice would be to wait until Shawn's made a jacket for someone else (or a sample jacket) in the leather.

Nice to see Shawn getting some hides that have more character. That's always been a big difference between the higher end jackets. The lower prices options usually had hides that were as flat as floor lino. Interested to see how these newer hides look after a few months of hard wear. Post some more pics of yours down the line BadMofo once you've put a few miles on it.
