Need help with Unknown Leather Coat

Hi everybody! I'm new here, just saw this forum today.
Need some help with dating a leather coat , I have for sale. It's obvious it's very old military overcoat, but no tags anywhere.
Leather is horsehide or steerehide, lining is wool and a removable sheepskin fur collar.
Asked David Himel from Himel Brothers Vintage Clothing and he thinks it's french from late 40's, but never seen like this.
Can smbd help me here ???

Yes! French, 60ies...called Caban/Canadienne....Not military, a purely civy coat.
