N1 stencil

Afternoon people,
As previously mentioned I have recently purchased BR N1 deck jacket in blue. It already has US NAVY stencilled on the back but I was thinking of putting USN on the left breast. Two questions, firstly would that be historically correct and secondly what are the height of the lettering on an original?
Any replies greatly appreciated.

USN marked jackets were never marked “USN” more than once from the manufacturer, Unless something was stenciled on the back of the jacket marking what ship or group the wearer was assigned.

FWIW, I've never seen the early war blue N-1 with USN stenciled on from front.
