The gearbox is really the weak point of this car. Here you are in peace for the next 50 years. Did you use reinforced sprockets?

I've rebuilt T-84's before when I was younger and fitter but since the cancer in late 2020 I'm not really up to the fairly heavy stuff - at least yet! So I took the lazy route and had the transmission rebuilt by one of the best in the UK. All the shafts, gears, synchro, etc etc are new.

80 years ago my Jeep rolled off the production line. In fact it was Feb 25th but as the weather was rubbish yesterday she had to wait until today to have a leg stretch.

I had my 44 MB in a 4th of July parade today. We had five WW2 Jeeps, two 1950s ones and other postwar vehicles from members of my group.

This was taken right after I bought my 44 MB in the fall of 1999. I was active duty then, so I drove it onto the post and parked it next to my assigned Humvee for a few moments for some photos. I don't think anyone from my unit saw me do this, but I couldn't resist.
