Hey Evan,
Thanks for the added photos of Bill's A-2 and correcting that it's a S. H. Knopf Mfg Co.! The jacket is displayed on a mannequin so I best guessed it to be a no name Cable based on pocket flaps and collar. Here's a couple close up photos of the 2nd Scout patch and faded Phantom Renegade patch. That's so cool he's a friend of yours! Please thank him for donating his amazing A-2 to a Museum where geeks like me could appreciate it and learn of his history.
