Mid 70s Star Sportswear G-1

Afternoon all.
Thought I’d share my latest purchase off ebay of a fairly mint looking Star Sportswear G-1 in 42.
I’ve been inspired by that Jorge fella on here that seems to be buying up all the decent vintage G-1 jackets and has amassed something like 200?
I haven’t received it yet as its winging its way over from NY and i fully expect to receive a nice letter through the post informing me of customs charges!
I took a bit of a gamble with this one as i’ve been reading up on sizing and comparing examples and reckoned against my size 44 Cooper G-1 (which is roomy) a 42 would be a better fit.
I messaged the seller inquiring about the armpit to armpit measurement and they replied it was 18” lol
Now by my reckoning this would make the jacket around a 32/34 so like a wally I ignored that and just bid on it. I won the jacket for $119 with an extra $80 in postage so it worked out at £158.

As you can see the knits look original and nearly perfect and barring a few white spots on the leather overall it looks very good.
I’ll update as soon as it turns up and hopefully post some fit pics.

Looks like a nice jacket.

If you have a size 44 G-1 that you find roomy, then this should be fine. I’m a size 38-40 and find that the sizing of these is bang on.
