    Hello folks !
Just found this 7823 LW FOSTER G1 on eBay, the jacket seems in good condition.

Unfortunatly, zipper and puller have been changed for sure... cuff/wrist too !
The wind flap is weird (strange leather)

The contract label indicate : AMEND. #2 L.W. FOSTER SPORTSWEAR CO, INC. CONTRACT N383-22356A

Do you have any information about this contract ?

The Foster Sportswear 22356A contract dates to the 1955 fiscal year. It has replaced knits and zip as you say, but the goatskin looks fine, including the windflap.

Thanks Andrew ! Thought it was mid/late 50's... indeed a nice jacket... to buy or not to buy, that is the (laborious) question ;)

Oh ! The mouton looks like new.. it maybe has been changed too !
And there are stiching holes of a name tag on the left breast and something that looks like a triangular patch on the left shoulder

Nice one, I've what is belived to be an L.W. and what is almost certainly an 55J14. These contracts were totally built to last.
